Downsizing is about much more than selling a house.
For many of my clients, it means making a significant life transition. You may be leaving a home you've lived in for decades, sorting through years of memories, deciding what comes next, and trying to understand all the financial and real estate decisions that come with a move.
As a Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®), I have specialized training to help clients aged 50+ navigate these decisions with greater confidence.
My approach is simple: listen first, provide clear information, and move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Whether you're ready to downsize now or simply starting to explore your options, I'm here to help.
There isn't one right time to downsize.
Sometimes a home simply becomes more space than you need. For others, maintaining the property, yard, stairs, or seasonal upkeep starts to feel like too much.
You might also be thinking about travelling more, moving closer to family, reducing expenses, or finding a home that better suits the lifestyle you want today.
You don't need to have all of these answers before contacting me.
Figuring them out together is part of the process.
The Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) designation is for REALTORS® who have received specialized education focused on the real estate needs of clients aged 50 and older.
For me, earning my SRES® designation is about being better prepared to understand the unique considerations that can come with a later-in-life move.
Downsizing can involve much more than determining the value of your home. There may be financial considerations, family conversations, lifestyle changes, accessibility needs, estate planning questions, or decisions about where and how you want to live next.
My role is to help you understand your real estate options, connect you with other trusted professionals when needed, and make the process feel more manageable.
Selling your current home is only half of the equation. We also need to think about where you'll be happiest next. For some clients, downsizing means a smaller detached home. For others, it might mean a bungalow, condo, apartment, retirement community, or moving closer to family.
I chose to earn my Seniors Real Estate Specialist® designation because I wanted additional knowledge to better serve clients who are navigating this stage of life.
It allows me to bring specialized education to conversations involving downsizing, housing options, later-in-life moves, and the unique considerations that may accompany them.
But credentials are only part of what matters.
Patience matters.
Listening matters.
Communication matters.
And having someone who understands that this may be more than simply another real estate transaction matters too.
That's the kind of experience I want to provide.
